Challenged with a business downturn but viewing it as a huge opportunity, Vinita Bangard—the founder was ready to re-posture and present a ‘Krossover 2.0’.
Her brief was to create a website that was lead by her 'Brand first' approach and visually reflected her own personality as she was a brand herself with years of experience in the industry. Hobnobbing with the top celebrities of the country, Vinita's personal style was modern, bold and suave.
The approach was to intentionally design a website that was not 'Bollywood'. Crisp content and a memorable + chic visual language that was an extension of her existing identity was developed. Her layouts and imagery in some instances took an editorial approach.
The site was visually dynamic and not necessarily following the usual structure of web.
Vinita, as mentioned earlier was a celebrity manager with 25+ years of experience. In fact, she was labelled as ‘The Jerry Maguire of Indian Celebrity Management.’ She had the first mover advantage of engaging the celebrities in sync with the brands positioning.
The ‘Brand First’ philosophy was a simple idea with powerful implications where Krossover lead with the brand at the forefront of all communication.
The icons very specifically crafted in a hand drawn style. Most images were composited for better storytelling. Interesting transitions via animation were coded to ensure some interactivity and engagement.
International star celebrity Priyanka Chopra was Krossover’s key client. Strategically mapped and pitching to the right brands for endorsements and engagements —Priyanka’s career growth, popularity and fame is hugely credited to Vinita and her team.
